How does the copywriting process work?
Every project is different but in general our collaboration will involve five steps from discovery to completion.
1. Discovery
You tell me what copy you need, share a little about your business and let me know your budget.
2. Proposal
If we’re a good match, I’ll send you a proposal and we refine the details.
3. Contract
I define the project scope in a contract. We sign. You pay half the fee up front.
4. The full creative brief
You tell me more about your business, your competition and your target audience.
And you tell me what your business goals are to make sure your content supports them.
5. Writing and revisions
This is where you heave a sigh of relief and I happily settle down with a nice cup of tea to work on:
• competitor research • creative thinking • ideation • first draft • rewrites • time to reflect • more editing.
Then I send you the copy for approval and an agreed number of revisions.
Once you have the final version, you pay the remainder of the fee. Then you use your new copy and start getting the results you want.
